How To Write A Manifestation List (That Actually Works!)
Manifestation lists are one of my favorite manifesting tools for calling-in your desires!
They help you to get clear on what you want, place your intentions out into the universe, and ask for some very specific things that would otherwise be more difficult to achieve through practices like visualization alone.
One of the reasons I love them so much is because, when you know how to write them properly, and use them in conjunction with a tool like a vision board to ANCHOR you to your goal, they can produce some astounding results.
In fact, here are some screenshots from my manifesting students and clients who have used my manifestation list writing process to attract;
➤ Their ideal job and salary
➤ Dream apartment identical to what they had written down
➤ A high paying client (when she asked for someone who could ‘easily’ afford her services!)
I have also used the same process to manifest my husband (using a soulmate manifestation list aka husband manifestation list), my dream home IDENTICAL to what I had written on my list and placed on my vision board (see pic below of how similar they are!), even our recent Range Rover.
There really is no limit to what you can use them for when you’re manifesting!
And today, I am going to be sharing with you my top techniques and secrets for creating a powerful manifestation list that actually works so you can create one for yourself!

What Is A Manifestation List
In its simplest form, a manifestation list is a piece of paper that outlines and describes the specific details and characteristics of something you are looking to call-in and manifest.
They’re a great manifesting tool because they allow you to get really clear on all the finer details of what you want to attract and ask the universe for it.
They work best when used in conjunction with a vision board because then you have 2 different aspects of your manifesting covered.
You will have:
1. A visual representation of your desires that you can look at daily which helps to ANCHOR you to your goal
2. A written account of the specific details you want to call-in.
Together they become a manifesting powerhouse and make visualization SO MUCH easier because you don’t have to *try* and think as much about the things you want, they are already clear to you and the universe.
*If you don’t currently have a vision board for attracting your desires this is a great practice to do in conjunction with your list. You can learn all my secrets for creating a powerful vision board that gets next-level results in my free vision board training here.
What You Can Use A Manifestation List For
When most people think of a writing manifestation list or law of attraction ‘wish list’ they immediately think of using it for a soulmate or husband (I talk more about soulmate manifestation lists towards the end of this post).
But…
Love isn’t the only thing they can be used for!
They can also be used for manifesting: houses, soulmate clients, contractors, cleaners, nannies, housekeepers, new jobs, hiring the perfect employee, even cars!
In fact, I will pretty much write a list for any “big” manifestation that appears on my vision board so I can drill down on the specific details.
Now that you’ve got a clear understanding of what a manifestation list is and what types of things you can use it for, let's dive into the step by step process of how to create one that actually works!
How To Write A Manifestation List (A Step By Step Guide)
Before you begin this process it's important to get yourself into a relaxed and meditative state so that you can more easily hear the voice of your intuition.
To do this you can; light some candles, play some relaxing music, surround yourself with your favorite crystals for manifesting and take several big deep cleansing breaths.
Step 1. Get Clear
The first step you want to take when writing a manifestation list to attract your desires is to get crystal clear on all the specific characteristics you want to call-in.
If you already have a good idea of what you want, think of this first step like a big ‘brain dump’ where you get to purge all of your thoughts onto the page.
*The idea behind this part of the process isn’t to get your requests perfect, it's about finally being able to get all of those thoughts onto paper so that you can see them clearly and then decide what’s REALLY important.
If you don’t know exactly what you want (this happens more often than you think in manifesting!) a simple technique you can use to gain clarity is to divide a piece of paper into 2 sections and on one side write: “What I don’t want” and on the other side “What I do want instead”.
This may seem counterintuitive but by focusing our attention on making a list of what we don’t want it makes it MUCH easier to get clear on what we do want as that will naturally be the opposite.
For example:
Say you're wanting to manifest a new employee for your business but you aren’t sure exactly what to ask for.
Start by making a list of what you KNOW you don’t want.
Perhaps your last employee highlighted this by being late to work, texting on their phone all day, not being a team player, creating extra unnecessary work for you.
So by writing those things done you can CLEARLY see what you want is someone: punctual, hardworking, focused and present in the office, gets along well with others, oh and MAKES YOUR LIFE EASIER.
This process also works particularly well when writing a soulmate manifestation list or husband manifestation list and taking a good look at your ex partners and where they might not have lived up to your expectations!
Step 2. Refine
Once you’ve gotten clear on all the aspects you’re wanting to call in, it's really important that you REFINE what you’re asking for.
This is one of the BIGGEST mistakes that people make when it comes to using law of attraction wish lists and getting them to work.
They write pages and pages of things they want without refining it and then they actually BLOCK themselves by being too specific.
Yes that’s right, you can block yourself by being too specific in your manifesting!
Here’s why…
1. When you’re too specific you can cause more resistance in your energy and vibration by DOUBTING if your manifestation actually exists.
If you have 3 full pages of notes listing all the specific things you want (some of them unnecessary) it's only natural that your mind will begin to question whether that's really possible…
And that doubt you start to have around your manifestation will prevent it from manifesting!
2. The second reason you want to refine your list is because you always need to word your manifestation in a way that is OPEN so you aren’t cutting yourself off from receiving what’s for your highest good.
For example:
When we manifested our Range Rover recently on my manifesting list I wrote “Range Rover (or the essence of)”.
I was very deliberate about this wording because, even though I wanted a Range Rover and that was on my vision board, I was also open to the universe delivering me a slightly different car that still had the same essence of a Range Rover (a big, luxury, family car) but may have been better suited to me.
Another example I see when it comes to manifesting love is people writing things on their soulmate or husband manifestation list where they say: 6ft tall, brown hair, six pack.
Again, you would be better off saying you want someone who you are “very physically attracted to” because for all you know your husband and soulmate may just be BLONDE!
When you word your lists in this more OPEN way you actually give the universe MORE ways in which it can fulfil your desires.
So when looking at all the points you have written down think about:
1. How you can reduce the number of points so it's closer to a single page (my “sweet spot” recommendation is 12 points only).
2. How you can refine your list by wording things in an OPEN way making sure you aren’t cutting yourself off from receiving what’s for your highest good.
Step 3. Date It
You always want to put a date on your list when you want to have manifested your desire by.
The trick to making this part of the process work successfully is making sure that you BELIEVE the date you are writing down.
For example:
You wouldn't write that you want to manifest a new house next week when you’ve been struggling to find a house for quite some time, this won't feel believable to you and will actually take you out of alignment with what you want to attract.
Whenever I am working with a private client around this or helping one of my students I always FEEL the date intuitively.
It will come to me as a feeling or sensation and I will often see the number in my mind's eye.
The number of times the person has manifested the exact thing they wanted by the date I predicted is too actually too many to count!
For this reason you really want to GO WITHIN when choosing what date to write.
It should be something that feels true in your heart rather than what sounds good in your mind.
Step 4. Write Your Final List Out
Once you have gotten all your thoughts onto paper, refined your ideas and specifications down and chosen a date you need to write out your final list.
To do this I will always set aside some time when I know I will be undisturbed, light some candles, relax myself and write my list out slowly and intentionally.
As I am writing I will often pause to look at my vision board and IMAGINE my desire in great detail.
When I am done I will always THANK the universe.
Practicing gratitude for your future manifestations takes you out of a space of longing and into one knowing.
Step 5. Let It Go
Lastly, you need to let your manifestation go.
Other manifesting resources will tell you that you need to re-read your list everyday or write it out again and again but that can actually put you in a needy and attached energy.
And you can’t be in an energy of “need” while being a vibrational match to what you want for it defies universal law.
With all of the things I have manifested using manifestation lists, including:
➤ My dream home,
➤ Soulmate,
➤ VA,
➤ Nanny,
➤ House Cleaner,
➤ Various Contractors For My Biz
➤ Aligned Friendships
➤ Ideal Clients
➤ Our Car
I’ve never had to re-read it again and again or be obsessive about it.
This is because; once my list is written, I then use tools like my vision board to bring me into daily alignment with my desire so I can easily “let it go” without obsessing about it.
*The reason I am mentioning vision boards again here is because they really act as the FOUNDATION for everything you want to attract and will always work to AMPLIFY other manifestation processes and techniques you use.
If you don’t currently have a vision board (or you have one but it's not producing the results you desire) you can watch my free vision board training here where I cover my 3 biggest secrets for creating a vision board that gets you next-level results!
Manifestation List Example
Below you will an example manifestation list that I wrote for a “new mum bestie” when we moved interstate recently. When I wrote this list I didn’t just want to manifest a new friend, I wanted someone who was a mother, who had a daughter the same age as my daughter, someone I could talk business with, who was entrepreneurial, and spiritual but could also have fun together…
5 months after I wrote this list I got new professional photo’s taken for my business.
I didn’t expect it at the time but the photographer ended up being the exact person I had written on my list.
My beautiful new friend was EVERYTHING I asked for.
Specifically…
➤ She has a daughter the same age as Maddie.
➤ Lives 10 minutes down the road from me.
➤ Is entrepreneurial (we even both did the same online business course!).
➤ Is spiritual and equal to me in that we both learn from each other.
➤ Likes to have fun and a good time (doesn’t mind a glass of wine!).
➤ We bounce off each others’ energy (she’s Leo and I’m Gemini).
➤ Our kids are now best friends and,
➤ Our husbands get along great - we always hang out together.

Soulmate Manifestation List
When it comes to writing soulmate manifestation lists there is often more to consider than when you are writing them for other areas of your life.
This comes down to the fact that the desire for love is much stronger (and dear to the person's heart) so it brings up more feelings of doubt, fear, disbelief, lack or logning that need to be dealt with.
As I always like to say…
The deeper the desire, the deeper the work that needs to be done.
Before I manifested my husband and soulmate I had been single for 5 years straight and I had actually tried writing a soulmate list to call him in before but it didn’t work.
And the main reason it didn’t work was because my ENERGY was out of alignment.
Yes, I was very clear on my list about what I wanted but I still needed to be working on myself too!
I often find when students come to work with me, they have already tried writing a list for their ideal relationship, husband or soulmate but it hasn’t worked for them yet.
But once they drill down on the techniques I mentioned in this post to really REFINE what they’re asking for and start working on themselves to overcome their specific blocks (whether its doubt, fear, healing from past relationships or even limiting beliefs around love and dating) THAT’S WHEN the person magically appears because they are in FULL alignment with what they’re asking for.
How To Make Your List More Powerful
As I mentioned earlier, using your list in conjunction with other manifesting techniques will AMPLIFY its power.
This is because your list really works to place your order with the universe and be specific/intentional about the details of what you want, but you still need other practices to help you VISUALIZE and imagine what you want as real (for best results!).
After all, the subconscious mind responds more powerfully when imagery is involved.
Some of my favorite tools for adding this element of visualization into your practice are:
➤ Vision Boards (even spending 10 minutes a day gazing at your board will help!)
➤ Scripting or writing about your desires in great detail so you can IMAGINE them more easily.
If you want help with scripting practice you can find out more about my process for that here and of course if you want to learn my step by step process for creating a vision board that gets you results click here.
As always I hope you enjoyed this post about creating a manifestation list that works!
